Card Workshop

I am the moderator for a card club that meets every other month at church. In an effort to get more participation, I am teaching a class on the basics of cardmaking. I attempted to keep the designs simple, but I couldn't resist adding one with lots of layering! I just love layers and bling and ribbon...well you get the idea. Because the class is about cardmaking and not stamping, I prestamped all the images needed for the cards. They get to do their own coloring though. :) Anyways, here is what we'll be doing. I'd love to know what you think.

3x3 Gift Card using Amore Level 2 Paper Pack, Colonial White Cardstock, Butterfly Wings Stamp Set, Tulip Ink, & Prisma Glitter.

4x5 Card using Perfect Day Level 2 Paper Pack, Colonial White Cardstock, Juniper & Cocoa Inks, Bunny Love Stamp Set, and ribbon from The Ribbon Retreat.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Card using Daydream Level 2 paper Pack, Sweetleaf & Blush Cardstocks & Inks, Prima Flowers, Making Memories Brad, Say It In Style Stamp Set, Satin Ribbon from Michael's.

The following two cards are a take off of the above card. I wanted to show how changing the embellishments, altering the design slightly, or simply using a differen paper pack can make a difference in how a card turns out.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Card using Creme Brulee Cardstock, Lazy Days of Summer Paper Pack, and couple of Snag' em Stamps. Image colored in with Prismacolor Markers.

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Card using Rustic Trails Paper Pack, Bamboo Cardstock, and World's Best Dad Stamp Set.

3 1/2 x 8 Card using Emporium Creative Basics papers, Colonial White Cardstock, Vineyard Berry Ribbon, Ms. Gardener Stamp Set. Image colored with Prismacolor markers.

5 x 6 Card using Unforgettable Paper Pack, Juniper & Colonial White Cardstock, Cocoa, Blush, & Sorbet Inks, and Aspirations Stamp Set. For those of you paying attention - yes, this is the same card I posted for the Mojo Monday Week 75 Sketch. I was running out of creativity and they are one of my "go to" websites when I need a boost of creativity!

5 x 7 Card using Daydream Paper Pack, White Daisy Cardstock, Hollyhock & Sorbet Inks, and Good Times Stamp Set. This one is also a Mojo Monday Sketch. :)
