Shoshone Falls

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we went to Twin Falls, ID for a 3 day camping trip to see Shoshone Falls and to just relax and be lazy to celebrate the end of the school year. It's hard to believe that I now am the parent of a freshman and a junior and that two of our kids are grown and out of the house. I wonder how time has flown by so quickly. I surely must have blinked one too many times!  We stayed a an out of the way campground about 15 miles south of Twin Falls called Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs.  We went to see Shoshone Falls, Twin Falls, and of course soaked in the hot pools and swam. We roasted marshmallows around the campfire, played games, lazed around in the shade reading books and in general had a fabulous time. We came home bug eaten, sunburnt, and exhausted but wouldn't trade it for anything!

Owned by a cat...

For those of you who have a cat in your household, you learn very quickly that it is the cat that owns you and not the other way around. We often call Izzy "the pampered princess". She has the cattitude down just right and it has been that way since she was very young. One of her favorite activities is to stretch full length upon whomever is sitting or laying down. It instantly makes you fair game and an appealing surface upon which to nap. Here are a couple of favorite shots I took recently of her sleeping on our youngest daughter. They both look rather content to nap with each other. :)

Dotty For You Projects

Wow! I can't believe how fast time has flown by since I shared my last project. It's a sure sign that the school year has ended and summer has started. We always joke that we have birthday season at our house because 3 of our 4 children have birthdays in a 4 week time frame and then we have only a six week reprieve before the 4th birthday. So we've been having fun celebrating birthdays and we took an end of the school year celebratory camping trip to see Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho.  With everything I have going on, this will probably be my last paper crafting related post for a while. I've just been too busy.

I ordered the Dotty For You paper pack from a CTMH consultant friend. It was the promo for National Scrapbooking month in May.  Within a day of getting it, I had that baby cracked open and two projects done with it lickety split! LOL  The first is a card I made for the card swap group that I'm in. The other project is an altered composition book I made for my daughter's best friend. I've made her an altered composition book for several birthdays and/or Christmases now and she is often disappointed if she doesn't get one. I love that she actually uses them and loves getting them. Of course it's always nice to know your work is appreciated!
